DYNAMOS technical director Aristica Cioaba says the Glamour Boys will not back down in their fight for a top four finish in the Castle Lager Premiership despite missing top goal scorer Frank Agyemang in a crucial game against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab tomorrow.
Agyemang will be serving suspension after he was shown a red card in the 0-1 home defeat to log leaders Hardrock at Rufaro last week.
The Ghanaian has been one of the key players at DeMbare with 12 goals.
“I have a problem about Frank, he picked up a red card. He is one player who can come anytime and help the team. It’s difficult for us but we have to have another player who can come in and do the job.
“It’s a chance that they should take and say, ‘I’m here, I’m a good player’ and see how we can solve the problem in the future,” said Cioaba.
The Romanian mentor indicated he would need all his players available going into the last three matches of the campaign.
Dynamos currently sit in fourth place with 51 points. Cioaba said Agyemang’s absence would open a window of opportunities to other players like Nathan Mutasa, Witness Shave and Calum English-Brown.
“I am confident because I have the 20 players in my squad. I have been the coach the three months. I give the chance to any player to play,” said Cioaba.
Worryingly, Dynamos have been missing key players of late due to red card suspensions. Midfielder Godfrey Dzakpasu sat out the match against Hardrock after he was shown a red card against Herentals.
But Cioaba refused to blame his charges for the red cards.
“I am very happy another player (Dzakpasu) who did not play the last two games is coming back in the squad and will try to help the team,” he said.
Two other players Collin Mujuru and captain Shadreck Nyahwa are reportedly suspended by the club on disciplinary grounds.
“It’s important for our team to have everyone around because all the players are important. We will try our best in the training, we will try the best in the in the game. You know, I do not have a big squad at the moment.
“I tell you I have only 20 players. Normally, it’s a difficult moment for us but some players, for example Culum, Nathan and Shave are coming up.
“These are young players I am giving confident in the training that you will do better and better and you’ll give me the good morale in the game and maybe you can start some games and help the team. This is football sometimes if one player is not doing good, let’s put the plan B and have another strategy with another player,” said Cioaba.
