City Bowling Club open-air entertainment venue is expected to open tonight. The venue has lured DJ Storm and DJ Tino that would provide varied music selections for outdoor entertainment lovers. The DJs have worked at several outdoor joints and their combination should bring exciting selections to the CBC venue.
The official opening party of the venue will be held next weekend. Harare’s socialites and top celebrities have been invited to the official opening to add colour to the event.
Places like Pamuzinda Highway X-scape, Globe Trotter and Kebab took the entertainment industry by storm as deejays rotated at the venues dishing out classic music.
The wave, however, seemed to move from one place to the other and some of the joints lost popularity.
Organisers of the outdoor entertainment at CBC said they were looking forward to filling a gap left by the demise of some programmes to entertain merrymakers that used to attract huge crowds at some venues.
“Some venues have lost popularity while others have closed down. We are trying to carry on with open air entertainment that has excited party lovers in Harare for a long time,” he said.
“We will have a number of DJs taking turns to entertain patrons every week and we are coming up with good programmes, especially for weekends.
“We are hopeful that we will be able to serve the market of revellers that want night-life in the open. The rain season is coming to an end and we are planning something for outdoor fun.”
He said they were happy to establish such a joint near the city centre.
