City Cubs host Cranborne Bullets

HARARE City Cubs have warned Ruyamuro Service Station Northern Region Division One title contenders Cranborne Bullets of a tough time when they meet at Rufaro this afternoon.

Elvis “Chuchu” Chiweshe, the teams’ director of coaching, said after last week’s last-minute defeat to log leaders Mushowani Stars, he expects his players to turn on the style.

The Cubs are the development side for Premiership team Harare City.

They have been doing well since the resumption of the second half of the season which has seen them move into the top half of the table.

”We know Cranborne Bullets very well as it is a team from Harare. They have been doing well but any team can be beaten and that is what I am telling my boys,” said Chiweshe.

“We had some challenges in the first round after we lost some of our players to the senior team so we were trying to rebuild.

”During the mid-season break we managed to bring on board six players and that is bringing results.

“The boys are proving their worth as they seek to be elevated into the senior side.”
