THE City of Harare says it will urgently repair a burst water pipe along Cameroon Street near Copa Cabana to prevent the loss of treated water.

In an interview, City of Harare spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama said engineers had been directed to attend to the burst as soon as possible.

“Our engineers will attend to the burst pipe as soon as possible because we can’t afford to lose so much treated water,” he said.

Mr Gama said the city remains committed to reducing water losses and ensuring that treated water reaches consumers instead of being wasted through leaks and burst pipes.
