SOUTH Africa’s Black Motion and man-of-the-moment Jah Prayzah will split Bulawayo’s entertainment scene this Saturday as they are billed to perform on the same night.

Jah Prayzah, riding high on his new album Jerusarema, Killer T with hit single Itai Ndione and Guluva 7 with Gijima will set the Amphitheatre alight while house music lovers will flock to Hartsfield Tshisa Nyama, which is a stone’s throw away, to watch the Rainbow hit-makers perform live at a show dubbed ‘Living Drums with Black Motion’.

Black Motion comprises Robert “DJ Murda” Mahosana and percussionist Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane. They will be supported by local DJs Slimzer, Kead Wikead, Liz, Flavour and Crazy Black. Hosted by comedian, Babongile Sikhonjwa, the show will also feature performances from Mzoe 7 and TKP.

Rollins Simba, organiser of the Jah Prayzah – Killer T show, said a $5 entrance fee has been set to enable masses to attend.

“Everything is in place for the show that’s dedicated to people who’ve always wanted Jah Prayzah to perform in Bulawayo. We’re not worried about other shows as they have their own people while we have our own,” he said.

3D Events, organisers of the Black Motion show, said their target audience was different from the one which follows Jah Prayzah’s music.

“The people who like Jah Prayzah aren’t the same as those who appreciate Black Motion. We aren’t worried about who’ll come to the show as we’ve our own guaranteed crowd,” said Mduduzi Mdlongwa of 3D Events.

He said advance tickets for the show would go on sale tomorrow at Tshisa Nyama. Ordinary tickets have been pegged at $10 with VIP tickets being sold for $50.
