Clubless Nengomasha resurfaces

JOHANNESBURG. — Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha has surfaced at the University of Pretoria for a trial.

The Zimbabwean started training with the side yesterday, as he looks to further his career with a club in the South African PSL.

Nengomasha was recently linked with a move to Santos in Cape Town, but the player has opted for Tuks in his search for a club, with a view to add his experience to the struggling Tshwane outfit.

The 33-year-old has been without a club since parting ways with Mpumalanga Black Aces, before the start of the 2015-16 season.

“Tinashe Nengomasha is training with Tuks as we speak. They are training here at Tuks’ university grounds. I am here and there he is training with the team,” a source said.

Tuks are preparing for their Absa Premiership game against Free State Stars.

Meanwhile, Tendai Ndoro scored the only goal of the game as Orlando Pirates beat Mpumalanga Black Aces in a friendly game yesterday.

The Buccaneers and AmaZayoni played in a competitive friendly at the Greek Sporting Club in Bedfordview yesterday morning.

The Zimbabwean, who joined Pirates from Aces before the start of the 2015-16 season, reminded his former employers of the quality they saw in him when he was lured to South Africa from Zimbabwean champions Chicken Inn.

Eric Tinkler and his technical team are preparing the side for their Absa Premiership game against Mamelodi Sundowns on December 20. — Laduma.
