Procrastination cost one Eustina Moyo her marriage as her husband Muranganwa Nengomasha (39), a coach at FC Platinum decided to bring in another woman home because Moyo took time moving from her parentsa�� home to his place.
This was despite that Nengomasha paid lobola for her.
When she finally went to his house, he told her that he had found a new lover.
She refused to vacate but Nengomasha assaulted her, resulting in his arrest.
He appeared before Zvishavane magistrate Shepherd Mjanja facing a physical abuse charge and was sentenced on his own plea of guilty.
He told the court that he beat her for refusing to leave his place.
The magistrate slapped him with a $100 fine (or 30 days imprisonment) and three months were wholly suspended on condition of three years good behaviour.
The court heard that on 15 December around 8pm, the accused person ordered the complainant to move out of his house as he had lost interest in her, but the complainant refused.
He then started beating the complainant with open hands and fists several times on the face and pulled her out resulting in her sustaining bruises on her right hand and feet.
She reported the matter to police and was referred to hospital for treatment.
A doctora��s report was produced in court as exhibit.
