Coca-Cola, Delta launch flavoured water range

Business Reporter
ZIMBABWE has become the third country in Africa to manufacture sparkling flavoured bottled water after South Africa and Kenya.
This comes as Coca-Cola and Delta Beverages Zimbabwe yesterday launched a new sparkling water range.
The Schweppes sparkling water range is available in four flavours – plain, strawberry, litchi and lemon lime, and is available in 500ml PET bottles.
The flavoured Schweppes sparkling water will complement the traditional non-flavoured Still Schweppes brand.
Coca-Cola franchise senior brand manager for Zimbabwe Ms Mona Karingi said the introduction of the new brand was in recognition of the country’s high potential beverage landscape.
“The launch is part of our aim for complete domination of PET drinks market, which has a huge growth potential.
“It also shows that the country is taking the lead in a number of respects as we have become the third country in the region to introduce the flavoured sparkling water product range,” she said.
Ms Karingi said the addition to the existing Schweppes water brand was in line with the company’s commitment to provide brands that meet ever-changing consumer preferences.
“Schweppes sparkling water takes consumers to the next level by providing hydration that adds fun, sophistication and colour to their lives. It reflects their need for an innovative brand that matches their adoption of global trends in an effort to add colour and flavour to their lives,” said Ms Karingi.
The product is already available nationally in a number of selected outlets.
