The new machinery includes a new co-extrusion sausage machine and associated spiral freezer.
In a statement, Colcom Holdings group chief executive Mr Theo Khumalo said the new machinery uses the latest technology.
“This latest technology saves time and costs.
“It produces cooked and frozen sausages at very competitive prices,” he said.
Mr Khumalo said following the successful conclusion of trial runs of the new equipment, the company had introduced three new products onto the market.
These included chicken bangers, pork bangers and beef bangers.
He said the firm had not yet resumed exports that it suspended three years ago.
“When exports become viable again we will reconsider exporting,” he said.
Colcom is a meat processing company with some well-known supermarket brands.
Principally a pork company, Colcom also produces beef, ostrich and chicken products.
The company is majority owned by Innscor Africa and is listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.
Colcom has forecast revenue to grow by at least 10 percent, with an operating profit margin of around 14 percent. – New Ziana.
