COME AGAIN assistant coach Aaron Mbewe believes their ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League match against Herentals Under-20 will have a huge bearing on their quest for survival.

Mbewe is standing in for Bigboy Mawiwi, who was not available for the better part of this week’s preparations, and is confident that they will get a positive result so as to boost their survival battle.

“I think we are ready for the game it will be a tough game but we are looking at nothing short of maximum points. We are well aware that the number of Premier League teams which will be relegated from our league will affect us so we need to be safe in all aspects.

“The race is now tough and we need to be at our best so that we remain in the league. We have so much respect for Herentals Under-20 as they have been doing well.

“The boys are fighting to make their names and we have been urging them to continue working hard. After losing the entire team from last season we have done well,” said Mbewe. Come Again, who won promotion under the guidance of Wonder Ngoko who is now at MWORS, are looking forward to their second season in the League and have already surpassed their last season performances when they survived with a mere 32 points.

Herentals Under-20, on the other hand, are looking forward to finish strongly in the league where they are lying on fifth position on 47 points.

Meanwhile, in the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One Soccer League the match between FC Wangu Mazodze and Manica Diamonds Jnrs has been moved from Mutare Showground to Redwing Mine in Penhalonga. FC Wangu Mazodze are understood to have been unhappy with an expected hostile Mutare crowd, which would “affect” their challenge for the championship.

Tomorrow: Chegutu Pirates v Karoi United (Pfupajena), Golden Eagles v Ngezi Under-19 (Ellis Robbins), MWOS V Harare City (Ngoni), Banket United v Concession United (cancelled), Chinhoyi Stars v ZRP Harare (Chinhoyi), PAM FC v Black Mambas (Muriel Mine), Coommando Bullets v Omnia (Commando), Trojan Stars v Shamva Mine (Trojan).
