A HOPEFOUNTAIN man’s stormed into a 44-year-old woman’s yard at 3AM waving cash and demanding sex!

Mertzo Mupande (22) got more than he bargained for when his desperate bedroom deal ended with handcuffs instead of hugs.

Mupande allegedly crept into Virginia Nkomazana’s home using a secret entrance in the dead of night.

Instead of knocking politely, he went straight to her bedroom door and started shouting like a man possessed.

“Virginia! Come out! I have money!” he yelled.

According to prosecutor Mehluli Ndlovu, Mupande began flashing US$10, trying to lure the terrified woman out.

When that failed, he turned up the volume and the cash!

From US$10 to US$20, then climbing all the way to US$80, the desperate suitor kept shouting his offers while Nkomazana hid inside, shaken and fearing for her safety.

His wild plan quickly turned into a waiting game.

And time was not on his side.

At around 4AM, help finally arrived when the landlord showed up with police officers.

Sensing danger, Mupande tried to play hide and seek, bolting from the bedroom area and squeezing himself into the kitchen.

But there was nowhere to run.

Police tracked him down and dragged him out of his hiding spot like a busted burglar.

When questioned, he had no explanation for his shocking behaviour.

Not a word.

Just silence and shame.

He was immediately arrested and hauled before magistrate Barbra Phiri, where he pleaded guilty to criminal trespass.

The court did not find his antics amusing.

Mupande was slapped with a four-month jail sentence, wholly suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.
