HIGHLANDERS captain Ariel Sibanda and his vice Peter Muduwha have encouraged fans to come in numbers and support their team as they meet Dynamos on Sunday.

Sibanda the Bosso first choice goalkeeper and Muduwha the defence stalwart, say they are ready for the 2024 season Match Day 1 on Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo and have encouraged fans to desist from violence.

“The game is on a Sunday, people should be able to enjoy and support their team in numbers and desist from anything that might incite violence,” said Sibanda.

“I encourage our fans to come in numbers and support us as we play the greatest match of the season, behavioural change and attitude starts with us the players and then extends to the supporters. It is in our best interest to be well behaved so that we finish the season on a good note unlike last season.”

The Highlanders training camp is in full swing and ready for the season, their captain believes the players are in good shape and in high spirits.
