COMMENT: A resounding success: Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo sets new standards

THE 17th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which concluded yesterday at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds in Bulawayo, was a resounding success. 

This premier tourism event, which showcased the best of Africa’s tourism products, exceeded expectations and set new standards for future expos.

The Expo, which attracted over 400 companies and eight countries, provided a platform for industry players to connect, collaborate and share knowledge. The event was a testament to the growing importance of tourism in Africa’s economic development and the continent’s vast potential in this sector.

One of the stand-out features of this year’s Expo was the increased participation of international exhibitors and buyers. 

This not only reflects the growing interest in Africa’s tourism industry but also underscores the Expo’s reputation as a premier tourism event.

The Expo also highlighted Zimbabwe’s tourism offerings, from its stunning natural beauty to its rich cultural heritage. 

In addition, the event provided an opportunity for local operators to showcase their products and services, attracting international visitors and investors.

The success of the Expo can be attributed to the tireless efforts of the Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe (HAZ), the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), and other stakeholders. 

Their collaboration and dedication ensured a seamless and memorable experience for all participants.

As the tourism industry continues to grow and evolve, the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo has established itself as a vital platform for networking, learning and business opportunities.
