GREETINGS beloved nation in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 1:18 “Timothy my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight”
As we continue to possess the year I believe there are prophetic themes that were given to us this year. For some it’s a Year of Restoration, others it’s a Year of Signs & Wonders and for others it’s a Year of Blessings etc.
Do you know that your year 2023 can be the same year as 2022 if nothing has been done concerning these prophetic themes that were given or visions that we have for 2023. In Exodus 12 the children of Israel celebrated their new year for 430 years but still in one place, a place of slavery, until there was a doing of God’s word in the form of instructions that were given to Moses and Aaron. Moses in turn then gave these instructions to the children of Israel in Exodus 12:21-22.
So these themes or visions that we have for the year, if they are not believed and prayed for in your life, your family, your ministry, your business, they will just remain as themes without any manifestation. Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 1:18 that in keeping with the prophecies once made about you and by following them you may fight the good fight.
These prophetic themes will not be fulfilled this year if we don’t fight in the spirit (i) by doing them, (ii) by following them, (iii) by believing them and (iv) by acting on them. This is how God lifts a man in a season when we begin to do whatsoever He tells us to do.
It was in the book of John 2 when the wine got finished, the servant went to Mary and Mary pointed them to Jesus and said to the servant whatsoever he tells you do it. So the word of God can only be performed in our lives if we believe it and we do it.
Just imagine when they got to Jesus, he told them to fill water into these 6 water pots whilst these men were crying for wine.
Many a times these themes may sound unbelievable or far-fetched but believe them and just do it. It’s when you will begin to see a miracle manifesting in your life, in your church, your company, your family
Let them not end on your status or on your church walls, but pray them in, speaking them in this 2023. It’s when you will begin to see the fulfilment of God`s word and those prophecies coming to pass than blaming men and women of God at the end of the year saying why has this word not been fulfilled in your life.
Let’s take these prophetic words seriously and we fight in the realm of the spirit so that the enemy will not divert these prophetic words for this season by causing some to be lazy and to be distracted so that you many not become a doer of God’s word. Let’s do what Timothy did in the book of 1 Timothy 1:18.
In the book of Philippians 4:9 when Paul was speaking to the Philippian church he said to them “these things which you have both learnt and received and heard and seen in me- do and the God of peace shall be with you.
So we see that the fulfilment of God’s prophecies over our life will never be fulfilled if; (i) we are not learners in God`s ways, (ii) we are not receivers, (iii) we are not the hearers and (iv) we do not copy those that have gone ahead of us, our fathers of faith.
How they lived, prayed, fasted, believed God, gave and we do what we were taught.
The God of peace shall be with us. This means that when we become the doers of the prophetic word we have been given, God will come and give us peace and make us rest from every calamity and confusion that for the past years we have been going through.
But it will only take following these steps so that the God that gives peace may manifest himself to us. Let us not forget that peace is a voice of God. Not only that it’s a sign that He is inside of that situation to give us total victory.
So let’s pray over these things until peace resides in our hearts as a sign of God`s approval. Let us not just celebrate these themes without believing the God of these themes to manifest in us.
In the book of James 1:22-25, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it — not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it —they will be blessed in what they do.” The bible says be the doers of the word not only hearers. The bible tells us that the doer of the word of God shall be blessed in everything he does.
Once again I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and saviour, and you shall be saved.
