MUTARE Premiership side Manica Diamonds will have a relatively easier task when they open the 2021/2022 Castle Lager Premiership season account with a date against newcomers Whawha, while cross town rivals Tenax have an uphill task as they face FC Platinum away in Zvishavane.

PSL announced today that the 2021/2022 season gets underway on November 6.

In a statement, PSL spokesperson Kudzai Bare said the league will take a break during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays and resumes in February after the Africa Cup of Nations finals to be played in Cameroon.

Football action returned with the Chibuku Super Cup tournament after a lengthy sabbatical owing to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
