Cool Inbox: sms to Swagga T on 0773 631 724

The Swag Centre would like to send a big shoutout to students from Chipinge who paid the team a visit last week. We hope you guys learnt a lot through the visit. Hopefully, we will get story contributions from the students as well as future news people coming from Chipinge.

Hie swag team. I’d love to be the Cool Teen of the Week, but I do not live in Harare. I only come there during the holidays and I don’t know how I can meet you.

I do not think that it is right for the Ministry of Health to give out condoms to all the students.
Some of us do not think about sex at all and giving us those things makes us uncomfort- able. I think it is better to give the condoms only to those that need them.
They should approach the donors and be given the condoms for free. Some students end up using the condoms because they have them not because they want to

Guys, could you kindly keep the swag exam tips rolling. Please also dedicate different subjects to each week so that no student is left out. My advice to students is that studying and cramming are different things. The problem with cramming is that you end up forgetting when the exams come.

Happy birthday in advance to my best friend Kudzai Maphosa who turns 18 on October 9. To all teens like her turning the super age, I say to you, enjoy your youth but don’t spoil it. You have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself and God. It’s make or break and if you decide to be rebellious then you might live the rest of your life regretting. Shoutout to all those doing their A-Levels at Msengezi

Please guys do an article about the medical implications of abusing headphones. This is a problem with youths these days and not only this. Last week a student from a university here in Masvingo is said to have been run over by a car while walking in town with headphones plugged in his ears. I hear that other effects include going deaf. Please educate us on the issue.

Please give us updates on the Zimbabwe International Book Fair. It is a great initiative but some of us are not based in Harare and tend to miss out big time when it starts.
I enjoyed your piece from last year when you featured on participant who was the youngest author in the country at only eight years old

Could you guys also review some of the cartoon series on your Cool Movie section. The movie reviews are too long and I for one do struggle to read them. I suggest that you make them short and include cartoon reviews as well.

Having sex at the age of 10 is not normal. It is rape and people having sex with 10-year- olds must be arrested for life and not be given condoms. This surely has become the Dark Ages if that is being acceptable in our society

Thanks guys for making efforts to give coverage to teens in different parts of Zimbabwe. My suggestion, however, is that you publish a schedule and visit even the remote towns like Binga.
There are lots of Cool teens in Zimbabwe and they are able to make meaning contributions to the paper.
Condoms should only be given to people who are having sex. If they are grown enough to do it then they should be bold enough to look for their own condoms.
Do not spoil the good teens in an effort to protect the bad ones.
