In a typical the man is mine fight, a Zvishavane woman is suing her husbanda��s girlfriend for $10 000.A� She accuses the woman of causing her sexual starvation.
Eveline Makhuyana has dragged her rival Elizabeth Gwamure to the courts demanding $10 000 for having an adulterous relationship with her husband Peter Chiwawa, a police officer.
Makhuyana, being represented by Mutendi Mudisi and Shumba legal practitioners, is claiming $10 000 in damages for loss of love and companionship, being deprived of sexual priviledges, personal embarrassment and distress as a result of the alleged adulterous relationship.
Makhuyana claims Gwamure was fully aware that Chiwawa was legally married, but had three children with him resulting in the man dumping her.
However, in her defence outline Gwamure stated that she was not aware Chiwawa was married as she met him sometime in 2008.
The man proposed love to her and after discovering that he was staying alone at Kwekwe Zimbabwe Republic Police mess single quarters, she had no reason to suspect he was a married man.
She then moved from her place and stayed with Chiwawa for sometime before moving to Mbizo Township.
Gwamure says she then met the plaintiff Makhuyana five years later when she came to her stand where she sells newspapers.
Makhuyana addressed her as Mrs Chiwawa before telling her that she was the woman whom Chiwawa had said was mad and that is if he ever said anything about her.
Gwamure revealed that she was left puzzled and that marked the beginning ofA�A� her quarrels with Makhuyana resulting in her dumping Chiwawa. Gwamure claims she ended the relationship in 2013.
The case that was heard by presiding magistrate Shepherd Mjanja continues on 24 June.
