IT is now temporarily a piece of tough luck to the family of ex-Warriors assistant coach and Highlanders gaffer Bongani Mafu and that of Sinokwazi Mnindwa.
The two lovebirds are set to tie the knot in the next few coming weeks.
That might come to nought, due to Covid-19 the pandemic currently ravaging the length and breadth of the globe.
What’s more, President Mnangagwa in his declaring of the pandemic as a state of disaster decreed that gatherings of more than 100 people will not be allowed for the next two months.
“Gatherings of more than 100 people including those for purposes of worship and weddings stay suspended for the next 60 days, after which suspension will be reviewed,” said President Mnangagwa.
According to a video wedding invitation which was gleaned by B-Metro, the wedding function is tentatively set for Mafu’s leafy Hillside residence on 23 April.
Unless and until the Mafu and the Mnindwa families decide to wield the axe on the other invited guests, their pending special day has just been but been ‘‘coronated’’ by Covid-19.
Besides Highlanders and Botswana’s Orapa United, Mafu — who recently assumed duty as Southern Region Division side Hwange coach, also took charge of Zimbabwe Saints, Gaborone United and Mochudi Centre Chiefs.
