Could this be payback time for Funda?

IT will be payback time for Funda FC when they clash with Stars FC at Iminyela this morning.

Stars FC secretary-general Linda Bhebhe declared: “Those ones owe us big time after a game in which they embarrassed us during the 2022 season. Today it’s payback time, in fact, because of that particular encounter they shall forever pay.”

Funda appeared on course for victory before Stars snatched a painful draw with an equaliser.

During the early stages of the season Stars posted a mixed bag of results.

However, after their shocking 5-4 win over the reigning league champions Man U away from home they seem to have found the right combinations. They appear to be playing at a higher level of their standards.

“Teamwork, dedication, and commitment have seen us managing to do well. However, it’s not over till the 38th game as no match is easy or lightly taken,” she said.

94 Strivers will make the longest trip to Khami Medium Prison where they will take on their bogey side Khami.

The visitors have never won at Khami.

Strivers captain Prosper Mpofu believes this time around his boys have the potential to throw away that piece of unwanted history through the window.

“From my perspective, I do believe that we do have what it takes to collect three points against them.

“We need to play our game and make sure that we don’t waste a lot of chances,” said Mpofu.
