Court upholds ruling on suspected bogus estate agent

Dickson bail after ruling that facts placed before the court clearly established that he has an inclination towards committing fraudulent acts.
Dickson (40), an ex-director in a company involved in real estate business among other charges is facing allegations of forging educational qualifications to secure business from a firm he allegedly swindled of US$17 000. The suspected bogus estate agent is alleged to have misrepresented that he had two masters’ degrees.
In his ruling Justice Chinembiri Bhunu said, “The facts placed before the presiding magistrate quite clearly establish that the applicant has an inclination towards committing fraudulent acts in the course of his business. That being the case, the magistrate can hardly be faulted for determining that the applicant is not a good candidate for bail.”
