Kadoma property developer Craft Properties is handing over two completed houses to people with disabilities.
The three-roomed houses are built on two of the 15 stands the property developer donated to people with disabilities in Kadoma.
In his speech, Craft Properties chief executive Professor Kudakwashe Taruberekera said the donation translated President Mnangagwa’s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind.
“People with disabilities face difficulties in securing accommodation, including discrimination from landlords as tenants.
Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo is set to hand over the houses.
Chairperson of the National Disability Empowerment Trust of Zimbabwe, Mr Moses Marufu, welcomed the donation of the houses as bringing dignity to people with disabilities.
“We thank Craft Properties for giving dignity to our people in line with what President Mnangagwa always says: the country is built and sustained by its own people,” said Mr Marufu.
He is also the chairperson of the People with disabilities (PWDs) in Kadoma.
