A 35-YEAR-OLD Kwekwe man has been slapped with a four-month jail term after being caught masturbating while staring at a woman who was sweeping her employer’s yard.
The shocking incident happened on 16 September 2025 around 7 AM when the unsuspecting woman was doing her morning chores. To her horror, she turned to find Samson Machakaire pleasuring himself in full view, fixing his gaze on her.
Panicked, the woman dashed into the house and alerted her employer, who wasted no time reporting the matter to the police. Machakaire was swiftly arrested and dragged before the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court, where he was convicted of public indecency.
He was sentenced to four months in prison, but will serve two months effectively after the magistrate suspended the remaining term for five years on condition of good behaviour.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) condemned the act, stressing that such displays of public indecency and sexual misconduct will not be tolerated.
“The justice delivery system remains committed to upholding public morality, protecting citizens’ dignity, and ensuring offenders face the full wrath of the law,” said the NPAZ in a statement.
