LEADING local motor vehicle dealer, Croco Motors last week launched a Higer bus in Bulawayo as part of efforts to grow its market. Croco has dealership licenses for Toyota, Mazda, Ford and Nissan. Speaking at the launch, Croco Motors operations manager Simon Chakoma said the launch in Bulawayo was meant to appreciate its customers in the region.
“The Higer bus was launched in Harare at the beginning of the year, we are launching it again in this region as a way of appreciating our customers and a strategy to grow our market base as a vehicle dealer,” he said.
The 63-seater for Volvo, Higer and UD cost $230,000, $125,000 and $195,000 respectively.
He said their targeted market for the buses that include the Higer, Volvo and UD were schools, colleges, hospitals, among other institutions.
“These products are mainly targeted at institutions such as schools, colleges, hospitals and even funeral parlours, these are 63-seaters and they are suitable for those institutions,” said Chakoma.
He said since the launch in Harare the response from customers had been overwhelming.
“The response from customers after the launch has been overwhelming and that is why we decided to come and launch it here to increase awareness,” he said.
He said stock worth $90 million was available at the Croco bonded warehouse and they make immediate deliveries for any orders made before the stock finishes
“Higer, Volvo and UD train our artisans; they are experienced to deliver reliable services at all times. The state-of-the-art bus has diagnostic equipment for every workshop,” he said.
He said their company was dedicated to serve and deliver reliable services to all their customers.
“We are here to stay because we have all the products and we deliver, however, if an order is made and the product is not available at that moment you will have to wait for 4 to 6 weeks before it is delivered,” said Chakoma.
