Cubbicky details life journey in 18-track album

Rising Bulawayo-based hip-hop artiste Cubbicky has dropped a deeply personal and reflective 18-track album titled Amazolo, which captures his life’s journey, from heartbreak and rejection to triumphs as a father, husband, and rapper.

The album is a genre-blending body of work featuring songs such as Amazolo (title track), Amanxeba, Ding Dong, Bless My Hustle, Jireh, Mama (Keep Her For Me), Noma Ejola, Imibuzo, Sengiyovuma, Sexy, ABC, Ngikhethile, Akekho Omunye, Emalayithini, Ijuba Lami, Sbani, Fake Love, and Ngimtholile.

Already making waves, Noma Ejola debuted in the Top 20 on Skyz Metro FM last week, a sign of the album’s early reception and impact.

Speaking to Zimpapers Arts and Entertainment Hub, Cubbicky described Amazolo as a heartfelt chronicle of real-life experiences that many can relate to.
“Amazolo reflects my life journey, the heartbreaks, the moments of rejection, and my growth as a husband, a father, and an artiste finding his way in the music industry,” he said.

“This album is a window into my soul. I’m excited to finally share this personal side of myself with the audience. I hope it resonates with listeners on a deeper level, sparks meaningful conversations, and cements my identity in the Zimbabwean hip-hop landscape.”
