Zimdancehall chanter Culture Love’s five minutes of fame at superstar Jah Prayzah’s album launch charmed Youth Minister Tino Machakaire, who was part of the crowd.

The youthful chanter, who was mocked for being awarded only five minutes just before Jah Prayzah came on stage, said this was the biggest supporting act role of his career.

He said the love from the Minister and the fans filled his heart with multitude of emotions.

“I was nervous at first but settled down and delivered an exciting act because the fans showed me love on stage.

“I didn’t expect so much support from the fans but to my surprise they embraced and loved me. I am grateful for the opportunity from mukoma Jah Prayzah. “To my surprise, after my act, honourable Machakaire called me to shake his hands and invited me to his office to discuss a potential contract that will see me performing at some of his forthcoming events,” said Culture Love.

He expressed his gratitude to Jah Prayzah for including him on his special nights.

“I owe everything to mukoma Jah Prayzah for including me on the line up.

“He could have just picked anyone else or choose to ignore me when I released the song but his management called me and invited me to attend the launch.

“I am happy, my career is turning in the right direction,” he said.

The chanter opened his set with his song, Kwedu, leading into an energetic performance while commanding the crowd into his trance.

After calming his nerves down, Culture Love, pulled his favourite stunt by taking off his shirt.

The scene then ended dramatically with Culture Love dropping the microphone, climbing up one of the supporting pillars to the stage where he waved goodbye to the fans.

He performed his popular songs including Mandipa Power, Kwedu, Ndaida Kudzidzira Kuroya, Tsumo, Zvivindi and Harare Yese.
