“THE voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic; the voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; yes, the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.” — Psalm 29:4-5
As we step into the month of December — a time of completion, reflection and preparation — we stand on Psalm 29: “The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.”
December often brings noise: the noise of activity, the noise of deadlines, the noise of transitions and the noise of uncertainties about the coming year. But in the midst of every competing voice, there is one that stands above all — that of God. This month, we declare that we will not be guided by circumstances, fear or human predictions, but by the powerful and majestic voice of God. Above every noise, every uncertainty and every challenge, there is one voice that reigns supreme — the voice of God.
When God speaks, power is released.
His voice breaks the cedars of Lebanon, it shakes the wilderness and it cuts through the impossible.
Whatever has resisted change from January to November must bow to the voice of the Lord in December.
His voice can break limitations, tear down strongholds and scatter every barrier that tried to stand in your way this year. One word from God can accomplish what human effort never could. But His voice is not only powerful — it is majestic. Majesty means glory, authority and dignity.
When God speaks, He not only breaks what needs to be broken; He builds and restores what has to be established.
His voice brings order where chaos has ruled, direction where confusion has lingered and honour where shame once stood.
In December, may the majestic voice of God crown your year with glory and set you in alignment with His will.
Throughout scripture, creation responds to His voice.
Seas part, storms calm, dry bones rise and darkness retreats. If creation obeys Him, then your situation cannot resist Him. Whatever concerns your life — your health, family, finances or dreams — must respond to the voice of God this month.
December is not just a month of endings; it is a month of divine direction. As we prepare for a new year, God desires to speak instructions, clarity and strategies. You will not step into the coming year with uncertainty but with Heaven-given guidance.
His voice will illuminate your path and settle your heart.
Finally, Psalm 29 concludes with peace: “The Lord will bless His people with peace.”
When God speaks, peace enters.
No matter the storms around you, His voice brings calm, strength and assurance.
This December, may His peace guard your heart and mind.
So, this month we declare: When God speaks, everything changes. His powerful and majestic voice will define your December — breaking barriers, restoring hope, guiding your steps and filling your life with His peace.
Amen.
