CONTROVERSIAL model Cyclone Ree (real name Lungile Mathe) has hinted at plans to go topless for her debut show as a DJ at Bulawayo’s Club Eden next Friday.

The model who never ceases to amaze, rocked the city last week when she posed semi-nude with headphones on the front page of weekly tabloid B-Metro, leaving many gobsmacked.

She has now secured a slot at Bulawayo’s popular nightspot, suggesting that she may take to the decks semi-nude so as to spice up her act.

“Most probably I’ll go topless; it depends on how hot I’ll be feeling. Those who will come for the show should brace for surprises during the night,” said Cyclone Ree.

Specialising in electro dance music (EDM), the leggy model, who will become the first Bulawayo female DJ to perform at the joint, said she was not new to deejaying as she learnt her craft during her modelling stint in China.

“When I was in China I was taught deejaying by a certain DJ Sunday who was into EDM. I immediately fell in love with the genre as I connected to it. My set on the night will therefore be mostly EDM and the set up should have the lights as well as smoke screens that are associated with them,” said Cyclone Ree.

She said hopefully her performance would open doors for other female deejays from the city to perform at the nightspot.“I feel honoured to be performing at club Eden. This is a plus for female deejays as we can hold our own as female deejays but we haven’t been given a chance to perform,” said Cyclone Ree.

The model who ditched the ramp for a musical career, said if all goes well she would play some of her tracks during her set.
