D-day for Miss World Zim Head to Head challenge

It’s d-day for Miss World Zimbabwe Belinda Potts as she aims to garner more votes for the Head To Head challenge at the Miss World competition.

The votes are crucial for her to land a position in top 30 and stay in the competition.

Potts who was voted best personality in her group #7 which has Miss Botswana – Moitshepi Elias, Miss Bahamas – Brinique Gibson, Miss Korea – Bo Ah Cho, Miss Japan – Kanako Date and Miss Chile – Anahi Hormazabal is asking people to vote before the extended November 30 deadline.

The Head-to-Head Challenge which returns for the second year with a brand new format is being presented by Frankie Cena and is an exclusive and in depth look at every single Miss World national champion.

The global audience will have the power to choose their favorite who will advance to the second level of the Head-to-Head Challenge.

In stage two, the winners from each group will face off against another contestant to earn their place in the Miss World #Final30.

In this section the contestants will show their skills as an advocate for their “Beauty with a Purpose” project.

In an interview with Potts, who is in China for the finals said she is excited as she and Miss Botswana Moitshepi Elias are leading so far.

“I am happy with the results so far, I have 14 000 votes as it stands and people are voting. Good thing they have extended the challenge so that means I still have more hours and kindly asking Zimbabweans to rally behind me. Do it for me, do it for your Zimbabwe,” she said.

She said it would be her dream come true, landing a post in top 30 let alone bringing the crown home.

To vote for her, one should visit the www.missworldvote.com website and cast their ballot there.

However, locals have also been encouraged to download a Chinese application “Mobstar” to their mobile phones and sign in.

When signed in, they can follow Potts and also vote for her using that platform.

Potts is among 144 beauties from various nations taking part in the contest scheduled to take place in Sanya, China on December 8.
