Rising Bulawayo based Zimdancehall artiste Njanji Simbi Hombe (real name Noah Wambe) has emphasized on the need of laughter as a stress reliever in new single.

Titled “Kuseka Kuti Hehede” the song is a catchy tune that encourages people to laugh and be happy even when facing different hardships.

Njanji said laughter heals the soul.

“Whilst it is true that the life we are living today is not all that rosy, it is not a reason not to be happy.

“It is a scientifically proven fact in medicine that laughter surpasses all the other medicines, thus the song can be a good way to heal troubled souls,” he said.

Produced by Oskid, the song also serves as Njanji’s statement that he is a serious contender in a genre dominated by Harare based artistes.

He introduces colour to Zimdancehall through a rich mixture of Ndebele, Shona and English.

“We are trying to break cultural barriers that suggest Bulawayo lags behind in terms of dancehall while pushing for Njanji to be among the top artistes in the genre,” said Njanji’s manager Andrew Musoni of Hard Mashona Arts and Culture Trust.

Njanji started recording his music in 2016. He has gradually grown over the past two years releasing two albums and several singles.

The artiste has also been staging many live shows across Matebelaland and Midlands provinces.

He recently headlined a Cancer Awareness Campaign in Bulawayo after penning a song titled “Fighting Breast Cancer.”

In his journey to seek international recognition, Njanji recently performed in Tete, Mozambique.
