De Jonge finishes in 23rd place at CIMB Classic

ZIMBABWEAN golfer Brendon de Jonge finished in 23rd place at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia yesterday. The burly golfer was coming from his best performance of the season when he finished second at last week’s McGladrey Classic.

De Jonge was tied with Lee Westwood, Kevin Chappell, Brian Stard Jonas Blink and Danny Lee in Malaysia.

For his efforts, De Jonge pocketed $123 666.66, taking his total earnings of the new season to $670 262.

De Jonge carded scores of 70, 73, 65 and 71 for a total nine-under-par 279.

This was de Jonge fourth straight cut of the 2014-15 season and he now has 363 FedEx Cup points and is sitting in fifth place.

Ryan more of the United States won the event on 17-under-par after impressive rounds of 68, 69, 67 and 67.
