De Lukes, Mimmie Tarukwana, Outfit Band rock Pub Choir performance

De Lukes and Mimmie Tarukwana, along with the Outfit Band, captivated fans at a recent Pub Choir gig in Bulawayo with their exceptional performances.

The Pub Choir event at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre showcased the remarkable talents of vocalists De Lukes and Mimmie Tarukwana, who stole the spotlight with their mesmerising renditions. Accompanying them, the Outfit Band, a dynamic group of artistes, showcased their prowess and asserted their dominance in Bulawayo’s entertainment scene.

The response from the audience was evident as they enthusiastically sang along and danced to the performances, clearly indicating their enjoyment of the Bulawayo-based artistes’ acts.

Reflecting on the experience, De Lukes expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform for such a receptive audience, describing it as a “lifetime opportunity”.

“I was invited to perform by my friends from the Outfit Band. Witnessing the diverse crowd enjoying and engaging with the music was truly gratifying. The atmosphere at Pub Choir was unparalleled, and I am deeply honoured to have been part of it,” remarked De Lukes.

Similarly, Mimmie Tarukwana reminisced about her early performances in the city, highlighting the nostalgic feeling evoked by the Pub Choir gig.

“Our band received an invitation from the organisers of Pub Choir, and it was a delightful experience. It reminded me of my first performances in Bulawayo, particularly the 2018 Skyz Metro FM Umcimbi Wabantu event, where I was embraced with love and admiration,” shared Mimmie Tarukwana.

Becoming the resident band for Pub Choir added to the sense of fulfillment for Mimmie Tarukwana, underscoring the significance of the event.

The successful collaboration between De Lukes, Mimmie Tarukwana, and the Outfit Band undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the audience, re-affirming their status as prominent figures in Bulawayo’s vibrant music scene.
