Gospel musician Sabastian Magacha has allegedly failed to settle a US$250 debt for 5 000 album sleeves designed by Guide Zvenyika of Masters of Art Printers. Zvenyika claims Magacha contracted him to design sleeves while he was on a tour of the United States last month.
The “Ridza Bhosvo” star allegedly failed to pay the money, prompting Zvenyika to post on his Facebook wall asking him to honour the debt.
“Nhai mukoma Sabastian imhosva here kukuprintirai maCDs nechikwereti? Ndipeiwo mari yangu please please. I respect you ndinyarewo (brother Magacha was it a crime to print posters on credit, pay up I respect you so respect me as well),” Zvenyika posted.
In an interview, Zvenyika said he had no option because Sabastian was being elusive.
“Each time I called him he gave me excuses and his phone would go unanswered forcing me to post on Facebook. One of the Zimpraise fans called me yesterday (Thursday) saying that he wanted to pay the money,” said Zvenyika.
A man who answered Magacha’s phone said the musician was at his rural home. Efforts to get hold of the musician at the time of going to press were fruitless as his number was now unreachable.
On returning from the US tour last Monday, Sabastian said he had made a substantial amount money.
