NETBALL Premier League champions Defence Forces Queens were finally rewarded for winning the Find the Ball Tournament in Gaborone, Botswana.
The team was awarded their 50,000 pula while their patron, Aaron Nhepera, also pledging another US$3,000 to the girls.
Defence Forces Queens were crowned champions at a tournament that was held from April 16 to 22.
“It is always my pleasure to be associated with your achievements as you were once again crowned the 2025 Premier Netball League Champions,” said Nhepera.
“This win prompted your invitation to participate in the Find the Ball Tournament that was held in Botswana from 16 to 22 July 2026, in which you were also crowned champions.
“This remarkable feat came immediately after you won the 2025 Premier Netball League Championship. This impressive performance has, indeed, gone a long way in promoting the sport which makes us proud.
“After winning the P50,000, l am happy to announce that I will top up with an equivalent of US$3,000.”
