Zanu-PF national chairman Cde Simon Khaya Moyo has urged the revolutionary party’s parliamentarians to deliver on their election promises.Cde Moyo was speaking at Chikomba West MP Cde Mike Bimha’s victory celebrations at Garwe Stadium in Chivhu on Saturday.

“We want reports as a party so that we check on the developmental projects these (MPs) are making in their constituencies,” he said. “We are a people-oriented party, hence our theme which calls for peace, unity and development. That is the reason we had to transform that winning formula into a blueprint called Zim-Asset for tangible results to be seen by the people.”

Cde Bimha, who is Industry and Commerce Minister, said he had started developmental projects in the constituency. “There are direct and indirect benefits to be accrued not only by the people of Chikomba West, but also by the province of Mashonaland East and the country at large,” he said.
