Delta clash ends in stalemate

Sports Reporter
THE Bulawayo Companies Social Soccer League clash between Delta subsidiaries, the Coca-Cola division and the transport section ended in a 2-2 stalemate as each team dominated either half.

Despite the match starting late the teams produced competitive football as they fought for what can be termed a derby.

The first half belonged to Delta Transport as Munyaradzi “Jaure” Chinhamo converted a penalty to take the lead after a Coca-Cola player had handled in the box while Tafadzwa Phiri scored a beauty when he took a free kick just outside the box and hit the bar before it went in, giving massive confidence to his side just before the break.

However, the Coca-Cola team had other ideas as they intensified their search for goals and managed to bag a penalty which Alvin Zivave converted before Xolisani Sibanda equalised with a header to level the scores.
