DELTA Corporation Limited has donated chickens and feed valued at US$10,000 to Tose Respite Care Centre in Waterfalls.

The move reaffirms the company’s commitment to inclusive community development, marking a meaningful contribution towards sustainable nutrition and livelihoods for persons with disabilities who are supported by the centre.

Speaking during a handover ceremony, Delta Corporation’s general manager corporate affairs, Patricia Murambinda, said the donations will play a critical role.

“We believe in building resilient and inclusive communities.

“This donation supports Tose Respite’s efforts to provide both nourishment and empowerment through small-scale poultry projects.

“Delta’s donation is part of its broader social responsibility programme focused on health, education, and community empowerment,” said Murambinda.

Tose Respite Care Centre director, Stelia Jamu, said this was a real shot in the arm.

“We have been in dire need of assistance of this nature and Delta has heard our prayers at an opportune time.

“These chickens and feed will be put to good use and we promise to start the project right away,” said Jamu.

Tose is a care center for children with severe disabilities providing respite care rehabilitation and training for caregivers.

It plays a critical role in offering care and development support.
