DELTA Beverages have reviewed the prize money for this year’s edition of the Carling Black Label national pool tournament with the individual winners set to pocket US$2 500 for the first prize.

This year’s finals will be held in Harare on July 27.

The annual tournament, which draws at least 2 000 players from across Zimbabwe, had the first provincial qualifying rounds at the weekend.

The organisers announced that this year’s winners will pocket US$2 500. Lindani Gumpo and Patricia Ganya each walked home US$1 500 richer after dominating the men’s and women’s categories respectively at Flamboyant Hotel in Masvingo.

The runners-up will get US$1 500. The third-place finishers get US$1 000 and fourth place US$500.

The tournament has been running for over 10 years in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Pool Association   (ZIPA).

In a statement, Delta Beverages said they were pleased to note that the tournament was gaining traction.
