Dema woman stabbed to death

A 44-year-old Dema woman was found dead in a rubbish pit with multiple stab wounds all over her body while her right eye was missing.

The woman, Taurwi Chizhanje also had an empty beer bottle inserted in her private parts.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“Police in Dema are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which Taurwi Chizhanje aged 44 was found dead in a rubbish pit at a bushy area along Chitsvatsva-Murisa Dust Road near Murisa Business Centre on October 26, 2024.

“The victim was found with multiple stab wounds on the face, breast and private parts. The right eye was plucked out and any empty beer bottle was inserted into her private parts,” he said.

Meanwhile, police in Gweru are investigating a case of murder in which Bothwell Sibanda (28) died while admitted at a hospital in Gweru after being found bleeding profusely from the right knee, where he had a stab wound, near a cocktail bar at Mkoba 16 Business Centre on October 26, 2024.
