DYNAMOS and Highlanders supporters have vowed to fill up Rufaro tomorrow and prove that the traditional giants are still relevant in the local Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The fans also want to show the world they are also a peaceful lot.

DeMbare and Bosso clash at the Mbare venue tomorrow, in the latest instalment of the Battle of Zimbabwe.

The match comes at a time some people are beginning to think the two giants have been pushed to the peripheries, thanks to the emergence of moneyed teams like Scottland, MWOS and Hardrock.

It’s still early days in the 2026 Castle Lager Premier but a clash between Dynamos and Highlanders is always tensional, regardless of the stage of the season.

Tensions could rise, but supporters’ leaders from both giants are calling for a peaceful environment at Rufaro.

In that regard, Dynamos fans will hold a roadshow that will start in Highfield at 8am and ends in Mbare.

Dynamos national supporters association chairman, Benjamin Munzira, is rallying his constituency to pack Rufaro and behave responsibly.

“Let’s make this a family outing,” Munzira said.

“To our opponents, I want to say we might differ on the pitch, but we are still a big football family.

“Let’s accept the result without violence,” added Munzira.

The supporters leader believes fans could decide this contest.

“We are the 12th man, we bring in that atmosphere that defines the matches between Dynamos and Highlanders.

“But, we should be peaceful. There’s no need to throw missiles if you don’t agree with the referee’s decision.

“If we also come in our numbers it will also help the club raise more revenue and in turn be able to pay our players,” stressed Munzira.

Highlanders fans are also planning a roadshow tomorrow morning.

The roadshow which seeks to promote non-violence at Rufaro, will start at Mereki in Warren Park.

Harare Chapter leader, Thulani “Thulo” Dube, also wants Bosso fans to create a carnival atmosphere in Mbare.

“We are Highlanders and we are known for our large numbers and we want to prove we have the numbers on Sunday,” said Dube.

He added: “But we have to remain peaceful throughout the match.

“There’s no need for violence. This is just a football contest. At the end of the day we are one family.

“But, as Bosso we will make noise in the stands and create a good atmosphere.”
