DEFENDING champions Dynamos have conceded they were outclassed by FC Platinum on Saturday when they crashed to a 1-3 defeat but the Glamour Boys have refused to throw in the towel in the battle for this year’s league title.
DeMbare slipped into third place after swapping places with the in-form platinum miners and alarm bells could be ringing in their camp as they are now seven points behind leaders Chicken Inn.
Over the years Dynamos had enjoyed the upper hand between the two sides but team manager Richard Chihoro yesterday said FC Platinum gave them no chance on Saturday when they fell to goals from their former player Gift Bello and a double by Zambian forward Obrey Chirwa.
“I don’t want to take away anything from FC Platinum because they played very well. The refereeing was superb. This was one of the fairest officiating I have seen this season.
“We can only develop as a footballing nation if we have more of such referees. “But FC Platinum have young players who are very quick and energetic. They were always first to the ball but I thought we also gave away soft goals on all three occasions,” said Chihoro. Dynamos are now third on the table with 39 points while FC Platinum are second on 41.
