The coal-miners filed an official complaint with the PSL yesterday after which the league indicated that DeMbare would be hauled for a hearing.
PSL chief executive Kenny Ndebele said they would advise Dynamos of the dates of the hearing but the Glamour Boys would be held responsible for the conduct of their marshals.
“We have just received the official compliant from Hwange and we are proceeding with summons as per rules and regulations. We will get the confirmation of the dates for the hearing from the disciplinary committee,” said Ndebele.
The start of the Premiership tie between DeMbare and Chipangano had to be delayed by 45 minutes as Hwange protested after their coaches were allegedly assaulted by the home team’s marshals following a bust-up in the tunnel before the teams had gone for warm up.
The coaches were escorted to the hospital and the match proceeded with kit manager Andrew Zulu and fitness trainer Kenny Nyape taking charge.
Dynamos are likely to be fined by the league, which is battling to deal with errant clubs in a season which is still a few games old.
Just six weeks into the season , the PSL have already faced a number of disciplinary issues with Motor Action and CAPS United being summoned for hearings.
The Mighty Bulls failed to fulfill their fixture against the Green Machine last month after challenging the league’s decision to stage the game at the Highfield venue.
Motor Action wanted that match played either their Sports Club or Rufaro.
CAPS United have also found themselves in trouble following crowd trouble that forced a premature end to their clash a against Chicken Inn with the Bulawayo side leading 2-0.
Makepekepe fans unhappy with the poor showing by their team rained missiles onto the pitch which two minutes remaining.
Newboys Quelaton have also been docked of three points after being found guilty of fielding a suspended player — Zibusiso Sibanda — when they played Motor Action at Luveve.
Quelaton will also be fined for their actions.
But it is the incident involving the Hwange coaches that has also drawn the ire of the Zimbabwe Union of Coaches with the organisation’s interim chairman Moses “Bambo” Chunga indicating that they were closely monitoring the hearing and are optimistic that the league’s chiefs will act accordingly.
“We are concerned with such behaviour. We have been abused left, right and centre and our rights continue to be infringed.
Are we going to wait until one coach has been killed? We hope the relevant authorities will pursue the matter.
We don’t want lip service and we want action and we are waiting for the outcome of the hearing. We don’t want wolves in sheep’s skin.
I hear that Lloyd (Chitembwe) was almost hit by an empty bottle at Gwanzura a few weeks ago and we are worried by the constant attack on our coaches.
“We don’t want to take the law into our own hands. They pour urine on us and if we react we end up being the villains,” said Chunga.
Chunga, said, it was sad that marshals were now playing influential roles at clubs.
“When we grew up playing football and when I made my name I never knew about bouncers. They should remain at the beer halls,” said Chunga.
