The Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care, Mr Sleiman Kwidini, is today (Thursday) touring Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo to assess the renovations currently being undertaken at the institution.

Mpilo Central Hospital is undergoing extensive renovations aimed at modernising the facility, with the works having commenced late last year.

Prevail International Group is carrying out the renovations and has already stripped the hospital’s C Block of all fittings, including doors, windows, tiles and other accessories, before installing new ones as part of the refurbishment process.

The company is also undertaking similar renovation works at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare as part of efforts to upgrade key public health institutions in the country.
