THE farming town of Norton is quickly establishing itself as football hub and will this week host a high-profile Mashonaland West Division Two B derby between Norton Big Boys and Chingwere at Tripple C Pigs Ground on Sunday.

Norton Big Boys are yet to taste defeat since the resumption of the season.

They boast of former Premier League players in Professor Wadyajena, Charles Rukwanhi and Oscar Machapa.

These seasoned players bring invaluable experience to the team in their bid to get promotion into Division One.

Machapa has played for big clubs in and outside the country.

The utility player had stints with CAPS United, Dynamos, Moroka Swallows and starred from Congolese side AS Vita.

Wadyajena and Rukwanhi are former ZPC Kariba players.A win against Chingwere will consolidate Norton Big Boys’ position at the top of the Division 2B table.

Wadyajena is hopeful they will do well on Sunday as they have been preparing well.

“We are ready for the match and we have been doing well.

“It is a game that everyone is looking forward to here in Norton.

“We hope to win the game and maintain our good start to the season,” said Wadyajena.
