Desperate husband searches for missing wife and son, neighbours reveal disturbing allegations

Chronicle Reporter

IN a heart-wrenching turn of events, Clement Madu finds himself desperately searching for his wife, Qhubekile Zondo, and their 11-year-old son, who have mysteriously vanished without a trace.

The couple resided in the quiet neighborhood of Nkulumane, where their sudden disappearance has sent shockwaves through the community.

Madu recounted his distressing discovery, stating, “I came home one day to find my wife and son gone. When I asked her relatives, they claimed to have no knowledge of their whereabouts.”

His worry and confusion were palpable as he pleaded for any information that could lead to their safe return.

However, amidst this unfolding drama, a neighbour, who wishes to remain anonymous, shed light on a different perspective.

According to the neighbour, there were suspicions that Zondo had fled from an abusive relationship with Madu, who allegedly used his connections within the ruling Zanu-PF party to evade any potential legal consequences.

The neighbour, who had witnessed years of abuse, revealed, “We believe that Zondo finally found the courage to escape from the clutches of her abusive husband. The abuse had been going on for almost 11 years, with Zondo attempting to report the matter to the police, only to be met with indifference as they refused to open a case.”

Further investigations into the couple’s troubled history unveiled a disturbing pattern. It was discovered that Madu had taken advantage of the vulnerability of Zondo and her mother following the untimely death of Zondo’s father. In an attempt to secure a lavish lifestyle for the family, Madu convinced Zondo to marry him. However, the once-promising union soon turned into a nightmare after the passing of Zondo’s mother.

As the search for Zondo and her young son continues, the community stands united, hoping for their safe return. Local authorities have been alerted to the situation and are actively working to gather any leads that could assist in the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Qhubekile Zondo and her son is urged to contact the local police or reach out to Clement Madu directly.
