Dhlakama ejected from the bench as Bullets overrun Green Fuel

CRANBORNE Bullets continued with their revival in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after they edged newcomers 1-0 at National Sports Stadium yesterday.

The army side had a slow start to the season and are showing that the team is now gelling well as they have been grinding results of late.

Nesbert Saruchera’s side were anchoring the log standings barely two weeks ago, having gone for their first six games without a win. But identical 1-0 wins over Simba Bhora and GreenFuel have seen Saruchera brimming with confidence that things are now falling into place for his team.

Kingsley Mureremba made the difference in yesterday’s game after he scored from close range, inside 22 minutes, after a good cross from Agrippa Manokore.

In fact, Manokore displayed a steady and solid performance that provided the zest to the match. The army side took the game to their opponents from the onset, in a lopsided affair that saw them dominate possession for the better part of the contest.

However, the Green Fuel goalkeeper David Bizibani was on high alert, minding the goal zone responsibly.

But just before the halftime whistle, Mureremba failed to capitalise on a chance after the goalkeeper Jabangwe had made a hasty decision to close him down, leaving the goal area unattended.

Green Fuel assistant coach Innocent Chogugudza was once again on the touch-line for the better part of second half after Rodwell Dhlakama was ejected from the bench.

Dhlakama, who was recently appointed by the Eastern Highlands side, is not allowed to sit on the bench since he did not attend a refresher course which was held by PSL in the run up to the new season. The travelled coach was not available and jobless at the time.
