BIBLE Temple Primary School’s director allegedly stole US$27,500 from the school.

Christopher Kwagwamba was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate, Ruth Moyo, who released him on US$500 bail.

The school is being represented by Justice Muskwe, the co-director.

The court heard that between 2021 and June 30 this year, Kwagwamba would receive various amounts of money from his accomplice, Julia Gorogodo, who is at large, for safekeeping.

She was the school administrator. Kwagwamba received a total of US$27,500

On September 16, the school engaged auditors Kreston Zimbabwe who discovered that Kwagwamba had converted the amount to his own use.

The school filed a police report.

When he was interviewed by the police, he claimed that he was still in possession of cash amounting to US$9,500.

He said this was being held in trust by his lawyers Nokuthula Masango Legal Practitioners.
