THERE was a delayed start to two Southern Region Division One encounters at the Luveve Stadium B Arena as the home sides had challenges paying match officials.
The first encounter pitting the home side Emakhandeni Pirates and Arenel scheduled for 12pm was delayed by over 30 minutes as the home side could not pay the required US$220 before the start of the game. It was the same with Mountain Climbers who were playing host to ZPC Hwange.
After all the matches finally kicked off, there were routine wins for the away sides who also happen to be the top two placed teams on the league table. Arenel won 2-0 through goals by Tawana Chikore and Stanson Khanye. ZPC Hwange also won by a similar scoreline.
The victory meant Arenel remain top of the table with 29 points from 10 games while ZPC Hwange remain within distance with 27 points. Talen Vision who are in third place with 25 points with a game in hand beat Bosso 90 2-0 in Filabusi. Adachi FC coached by Philani “Beefy” Ncube were 1-0 victors over Casmyn at Luveve Stadium.
The match between Ratanang and DRC scheduled at the same venue as well as that of Indlovu Iyanyathela and Mosi Rovers which was set for Zimbabwe Saints Clubhouse have been rescheduled to today.
This came after the travelling sides could not get in Bulawayo on time to fulfil the matches as their vehicles had breakdowns along the way.
