Bulawayo-based DJ and emerging music producer DJ Brze has described his debut performance at the Jacaranda Music Festival as a memorable milestone in his growing music career.
The young entertainer featured at the festival, held at Thornpark Polo Club in Harare from October 2 to 4, sharing the stage with an impressive line-up of local and international artistes.
The event brought together established and emerging musical acts, including Feli Nandi, Msiz’Kay, Mr JazziQ, Njelic, Nizhe DeSoul and Zee Nxumalo, among others.
For DJ Brze, whose profile continues to rise on Bulawayo’s entertainment scene, the opportunity to perform at one of Zimbabwe’s prominent music festivals marked an important step in his journey as a DJ and producer.
Reflecting on his first Jacaranda Music Festival experience, the young artiste said performing before the festival crowd was surreal, describing the reception as an unforgettable moment that had left him eager for more opportunities.
“What an experience! From stepping onto the stage to feeling the energy of the crowd, it was truly an unforgettable moment. I’m grateful for the opportunity and for everyone who came to show some love. But we’re just getting started!” he said.
The performance has added momentum to DJ Brze’s ambitions, with the young entertainer now preparing to expand his musical footprint through upcoming appearances and original music.
He revealed that he is finalising preparations for the release of his own single, which is scheduled to drop on November 4, coinciding with his birthday.
The forthcoming release is expected to mark another significant step in his transition from DJing to music production, as he seeks to establish his identity beyond the decks.
While details of the single remain under wraps, its anticipated release offers fans an opportunity to experience another dimension of the emerging artiste’s musical journey.
“Before unveiling the new track, I am also scheduled to perform at One Giant Picnic in Mutare, where I will have another opportunity to connect with music lovers and build on the exposure I gained at Jacaranda,” he said.
His appearance at the festival comes as he continues to make strides in Bulawayo’s entertainment industry, positioning himself among the young talents seeking to broaden their reach beyond the city.
With his Jacaranda debut behind him and new music on the horizon, DJ Brze is looking to turn the experience into a springboard for further growth.
