APRIL is here and there are only two words on every party lover’s lip; ZITF Shutdown!

The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) will take place from April 25 to 29 and one thing that comes with it is the annual flagship music festival to shut down the event in style.

This year, like others before, promises to give revellers a time to remember.

The sixth edition of the shutdown gig, organised by Harris Hotel Continental will take place on the last day of ZITF, April 29 at the Boundary (at Queens Sports Club), a venue that played host to the previous edition. Just like before, it will be a mixture of local and international music stars.

Some of the acts set to set ablaze the decorated event are Sandra Ndebele, Mzoe 7, DJ Mzoe, Jah Signal and South African Amapiano star, DJ Stockie who is behind the Ipiano e’Soweto hit.

The final list of entertainers, according to organisers is yet to be finalised.

Event organiser, Harris Continental Hotel proprietor, Tonderai Rice promised to give the City of Kings and Queens’ party lovers a time to remember.

“The ZITF Shutdown is a massive show which is always much-anticipated by everyone. This year’s sixth edition is going to be flames,” said Rice.

He said four more artistes, two from South Africa and two from Harare are yet to be unveiled.

Previous events have been headlined by music giants, Zimdancehall chanter Winky D and contemporary musician Jah Prayzah.
Meanwhile, Rice, who also organised last year’s inaugural Harris Continental Music (HCM) Festival at the ZITF said that show will be returning this year for the second edition. Its line-up of artistes is set to be announced soon. — @brandon_malvin
