ARTISTES DJ Stokswit, LaDee, Mzoe7 and DJ Sands have been unveiled as headline acts for the inaugural Phinifa Festival, an exclusive women-only event set for December 13 in Bulawayo.

Running under the theme, “Elegance, Unity, Culture, Sisterhood and Womanhood”, the festival is aimed at celebrating heritage, womanhood and community unity.

Phinifa Festival founder, Nobukhosi N Hlahla, said the event was inspired by the desire to honour women across generations.
“The inspiration behind the festival came from a desire to honour the strength and wisdom of grandmothers, the creativity of the youth, and the resilience of women, three generations coming together under one roof,” said Hlahla.

She added that the festival will serve as a platform for expression, connection and empowerment.
“The festival aims to empower, connect and celebrate. It seeks to create a platform where women and families can freely express themselves, learn from one another, and showcase local talent and entrepreneurship. It promotes unity, cultural pride, and intergenerational dialogue, while supporting women’s empowerment and community development,” she said.

The programme will feature cultural showcases, music, motivational talks and fashion highlights. Notable guests expected to attend include Mrs L Hadebe (SuperMed Pharmacy) and Beauty Moyo (Sol-A-Way).

Mzoe7 will serve as MC, while DJ Sands, DJ Stokswit and LaDee will lead the entertainment lineup.

Hlahla said the theme reflects the evolving journey of women.
“It reflects the spirit of togetherness and empowerment. It celebrates our cultural roots while embracing modern voices shaping the future.”
